Finalists announced: 2021 Workplace Giving Excellence Awards

19 October 2021

The sixth annual Workplace Giving Excellence Awards recognise the most outstanding workplace giving (WPG) programs across Australia. The Awards motivate and instill pride in employers, inspire their workforces and create an overall sense of achievement for organisations across the country. They crystallise an important message: workplace giving is achievable. It’s not just a lofty idea for sustainable charity funding – it is a tangible program for many Australian employers.

We held a new award for 2021: Best Workplace Giving Unsung Hero. This was to celebrate employees who went above and beyond to promote their company’s workplace giving program, despite not being in a managerial role. We also split the Best Overall Program award into the large and small-medium-enterprise category. We wanted to see more applications from smaller businesses who felt they weren’t on an even playing field with large employers. We’ve had a record number of applications to the Best Overall Program and Most Innovative Employer and Charity Partnership awards.

We are very grateful for the Department of Social Services (DSS) again sponsoring the Most Innovative Employer and Charity Partnership award, and the judges for volunteering their time for this event. The panel once again commented on the difficulty in selecting winners for each category, with so many unique and innovative applications to choose from.
