OVERVIEW + HIGHLIGHTS :

Macpherson Kelley (MK) is a national law firm specialising in commercial and corporate litigation, dispute resolution, employment safety, migration, private clients, property, construction, as well as planning and environment.

Their workplace giving program is run a little differently to other programs in that it is a sub fund under the umbrella of the Macpherson Kelley Foundation (MKF), a Public Ancillary fund. The objective of the program is to provide an inclusive and responsive way for staff to come together as one organisation for charitable impact.

The FACETEAM (Foundation And Community Engagement TEAM) is a unique WPG program advisory board of approximately 18 employees at all levels of MK.  This board works to both represent employees, and to encourage staff engagement across the organisation.

The MKF is a major component of the company’s ESG goals and future direction. Program elements include pro bono services, skilled and unskilled volunteering, in-kind support, donation matching, fundraising events (MKMoveathon) as well as disaster or other one-off appeals (Christmas drive for disadvantaged children, annual pyjama day, bushfire and earthquake appeals). These varied initiatives have engaged new staff contributions, growing engagement alongside regular monthly donors.

MKF, its programs and events provide a sense of belonging and the ability to connect with colleagues for social good.
